Hills Motorsport confirms Full Season Britcar GT Class for 2026
After thoroughly enjoying their debut weekend at Brands Hatch in November, the team felt Britcar offered the ideal environment to take the next step in its GT racing programme. The atmosphere, racing and professionalism made it a clear choice for Hills Motorsport’s 2026 campaign.
Team Owner and driver Aidan Hills commented, “Our first race at Brands really sold Britcar to us for 2026. The racing was competitive, the paddock had a great professional feel to it and it immediately felt like the right place for us to commit to a full season. We’re looking forward to getting stuck into our first full year of GT racing with the G55’’

Joining the Ginetta class as invitation entries for our final round are Michael Knibbs and Aidan Hills in a G55.
Michael Knibbs has raced Mk1 & Mk3 Mazda MX5s since 2019. He’s been a front runner in the Mazdas with race wins and a top 3 in the championship in 2022. He wanted a fresh challenge and purchased a Ginetta G55 in 2023. Of our championship he says “Britcar looks very professional and competitive. I think it will suit us for a good introduction into GT Racing”.

Hills climbs towards Ryan Motorsport Insurance Autosport National Rankings summit
Mazda MX-5 star Aidan Hills climbed further towards the summit of the Ryan Motorsport Insurance Autosport National Rankings after another win at Donington Park last weekend.
Hills won the Miata Trophy opener in Leicestershire, his eighth victory of 2025, but his undefeated streak in the series came to halt in the second contest when he had a slide at the Melbourne Hairpin and narrowly avoided clattering into his team-mate.

Two Hills Motorsport drivers shared the spoils when Miata Trophy made its debut on the Donington Park Grand Prix circuit, with Aidan Hills and James Cossins winning one race apiece on Saturday 19 July.

The second leg of Miata Trophy’s Grand Prix Grand Slam took place on Saturday 17 May, when Brands Hatch’s extended GP circuit hosted the fifth round of the championship’s 2025 season.
Following an exhilarating race, Aidan Hills claimed victory, courtesy of a storming drive by the current championship leader.
